Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Daniella. I’ve created The Paper Pinwheel to offer beautiful, whimsical and unique wedding invitations to brides-to-be who are under-whelmed with what’s on offer on the interweb.
I live in Melbourne, Australia with my husband and two fur kids, Mac and Ruby. Ruby is my little shadow and helps keep me inspired while I work in my studio. I’m a freelance illustrator and graphic designer with a love of stationery, vintage design, and of course water colour illustration.
I’ve created each and every one of the wedding invitation designs on this site using (mostly!) hand generated techniques, including water colour, ink work and hand drawn lettering.
My designs! Each one of my designs is lovingly created by hand and paired up with lovely hand lettering and carefully selected type faces. You won’t find any clip art or stock images here.
Whether you choose to have a bespoke design created for your wedding, or you pick from one of my templated designs, you will receive the upmost personal service. Many of my templated designs include an element of customised hand lettering or design, so you truly receive a one of a kind piece, whilst not costing a huge chunk of your wedding budget!
FULL SERVICE: Just want to hand everything over to the professionals? Perfect! I love nothing more than seeing my designs go from a computer screen to something beautiful printed on paper. I have two printing options to suit your budget.
The thrifty one | 350 gsm | White:
If you’re on a tight budget, this is the option for you. Digitally printed on lovely smooth white card, our budget option certainly doesn’t feel budget!
The tree hugger | 100% recycled | 350 gsm | White:
Love that raw, organic feel of some printed materials such as Frankie Magazine? Then you will love Our ‘Save-the-planet’ option. Although 100% recycled, this card still has a lovely brightness and colour reproduction, and using vegetable inks you can be sure your invitations are extra eco-friendly!
I also offer discounts on larger print quantities, while still keeping prices relatively low on small print runs.
PRINTABLES: For those who don’t want to spend too much on their invitations, but still want something lovely, I offer ‘printable’ invitation designs that you can print at home, or take to your local printer. You get the same service as you would with our ‘printed’ option, but instead of us printing, you will receive a print ready PDF.
STEP TWO: Choose your paper type, envelope colour, and little details like rounded corners.
STEP THREE: You insert your text exactly as you want it to appear on your item.
STEP FOUR: Submit your order on our secure checkout.
STEP FIVE: You will receive a digital proof from me within 3-5 working days. Check everything is correct and give us the go ahead to finalise your job.
STEP SIX: After we receive approval from you we will print your items and send them out to you. Depending where you live, you will receive your goodies within 2 – 3 weeks. Or, if you have chosen a ‘printable’ product you will receive your final print ready PDF to take to a local printer or to print at home.
As I don’t want your goodies to go missing, I use registered mail with Australia Post. This means you will need to be home to sign for it or be able to collect your parcel from a post office. If you need things urgently, I also offer express delivery for an additional fee.
I also ship internationally! International shipping is calculated on checkout. Please allow 2-3 weeks delivery for international orders.
PLEASE NOTE: I don’t make money out of shipping rates. If I find your postage costs are less than what you have been charged at check out, I will refund you the difference.
